Great series of infotoons from lunchbreath on flickr on various topics and themes.
Paul Prudence is a generative artist from London, real-time visual performer and lecturer on visual music and syneasthetic art. In other words, the type of creative who makes you feel like shite cause their work is awesome. Make sure to also check out his blog, for some other mind numbing shite.
Erik Natzke’s work is nothing short of amazing. The art that is generated from the code he produces is brilliant and inspirational, especially as I begin to delve into generative art.
Here’s a handy add-on for FireFox that bypasses the spaceball.gif so you can easily link to or download your favourite images. I’m not suggesting that you rip off anyone on the site, but it’s great for when you need to easily embed a photo from flickr and link back to the site.
This is a portrait of my papou (grandfather in Greek) for this weeks Illustration friday created in photoshop with the help of my trusty wacom.
His old, obviously. I don’t know how old he is exactly (I’m a nice grandson aren’t i?), but he has always seemed old to me. The thing is that his appearance has hardly changed over the years since I can remember, with the short curly grey hair and the aged wise look.
For me this illustration represents a stasis of time, with everyone else in the family growing older except for my grandfather.
