This weeks late submission for Illustration Friday theme Pale. Such a simple concept but I found it hard to make a decision as to what do with this theme.
Only played in photoshop for this one, not having time to experiment with painter, but I’m starting to prefer photoshop anyway for illustrations. Painter just seems clunky for me, not to mention buggy. I had it crash last week when i was finished up the previous week’s theme. I guess i should have saved more as I went along.

This is by far my favorite for the theme PALE. Very powerful piece, simply yet detailed, great contrast and composition!
very intense! great illustration. does not look at all like being made with photoshop. this is a fantastic blog.

Photoshop cant be great to illustrate with, you just need to play around with the brush dynamics and settings. It took me a while to figure the best settings to suit me, but im starting to prefer it than using painter.
I just recently bought some sketch books so i start illustrating/experimenting away from the computer again. Feels like it’s been years since i’ve done it properly…
