i am so surprised what can be achieved digitally:
from hearsay i know about thinks like “tablets”,
but being a silly analogue brush user, such extra-
vagancies are far beyond me (although i would love
to try it out …)
@ellis.illus: Although i do love working digitally as the limits to what you can achieve are endless and mistakes are easier to fix, i’m starting to enjoy illustrating manually away from the computer and hopefully improving my overall drawing skills. I find with the computer, its so easy to cheat with the multiple undo’s and etc that it makes you more careless with the work as it can be easily fixed.
Working manually forces you to think more about what you’re actually working with. Just have to get the courage to do it more often.
@Danyell – I wanted to add so more movement to the piece with the blotches. I guess i can see it adds another narrative to the story of the image, but i would just be bullshitting :)
Very interesting piece, wonderful detail in the hair. Like the limited ink use.
love it
Beautiful design quality
wonderful. i first thought it was pencil and ink.

I’m a little confused about the placement of the ink blotches. It looks like a crime scene photo.
Thanks for the feedback everyone.
